How Our Board Supports the Club
Driven by passion, dedicated to our mission
A nonprofit board of directors provides leadership, oversight, and strategic guidance to ensure the organization fulfills its mission. At The Corner Boxing Club, our board members help shape programs, support our athletes, manage resources responsibly, and guide decisions that strengthen our community. From setting long-term goals to ensuring the club operates effectively and sustainably, the board plays a vital role in keeping our mission of empowering athletes and fostering teamwork at the forefront of everything we do

Rebecca Crance
Chairman of The Board
Rebecca is a dedicated community leader and attorney with over 20 years of experience. She joined The Corner in 2024 as a member and competed in that year’s Unite to Fight, forming a deep connection to the gym and its mission. Believing that The Corner provides essential programs for the community that are open to everyone, she joined the board to help grow that impact.
When she’s not at the gym, Rebecca can be found hiking, skiing, or hanging out with her dogs—and she’s always rocking her pink boxing shoes.

Laurie Sayres
Vice Chair
Laurie fell in love with The Corner Boxing Club the second she first walked through the doors in the summer of 2022 because it was clear it was a place where excellence was fostered and everyone was encouraged to support one another. She brings years of community leadership, filmmaking, and education experience to The Corner board. Laurie hails from Brockton, MA - the hometown of boxing legends Rocky Marciano and Marvin Hagler.
Laurie lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband Joel.
